RIPE PI Sponsorship Transfer

If you already hold RIPE PI resources (IPv6 PI / IPv4 PI) and want to change your sponsoring LIR to GetIPv6, we can facilitate the transfer. PI resources are portable — you keep ownership and can switch sponsors at any time.

How to transfer

Order RIPE PI IP Sponsoring in our store.
Open a support ticket with the information below.
Terminate the agreement with your current sponsoring LIR.
We submit the sponsorship-change request to RIPE NCC, which processes the transfer.

Required information

Resource details — the exact resources to transfer (e.g. IPv6 prefix, IPv4 prefix).
Holder identity — legal entity (name, registered address, registration number, recent certificate) or individual (full name, address, ID number, ID copy).
Confirmation that you have terminated, or will terminate, the agreement with your current sponsoring LIR.

Processing time

We typically respond within one business day. The transfer usually completes within 1–2 weeks after all documentation is received; complex cases may take longer.
